A runner, which is also known as a sling, is a single loop of webbing. Runners come in different sizes and are either secured in a loop via stitching or a knot. A sling is a tied or sewn loop of webbing, that works in conjunction with all your other gear, such as carabiners, quickdraws, cams, nuts and climbing rope.
