Jul 18, 2020 · I think it looks like a pretty nice layout and is a pretty reasonable size tiller. I think I read that the boat pictured is Joe Bucher’s new boat and that Recon will custom build their boats to your requirements. I took this to mean the electronics placement and possibly seat placement was specified by Joe.

Dec 15, 2022 · I’ll find a decent Recon dealer or maybe just go to the factory someday. Crucial Boats (former Backtroller Boats) just pulled their 20′ hull out of the mold so I’ll get a look at that one also.

I am looking at buying a new boat in the next month and have narrowed the search to basically two boats. The Tuffy Osprey 1760 or the Recon 785, both with 115 four strokes.

X-190’s dry weight is listed at 1,300 pounds on their site which seems light to me for a 19’4″ glass boat…simply an observation… Most glass boats around 18 and half feet seem to be north of 2,000 pounds for comparison. Feb 16, 2020 · The new Recon tiller is pictured with the electronics on the other side. Recon boats are not on my radar but I stand corrected. I viewed their layout but in all honesty that is just wrong for many reasons. Lets say you are lindy rigging and sitting in this rear seat.
