Quake 4 Config Optimized for Newer Hardware (WIP)
Feb 27, 2024 · Welcome to my Config file for Quake 4, after doing extensive amounts of research about this version of the Id Tech engine I have managed to find variables to achieve the maximum quality whilst maintaining good fps on modern machines here is what i found (if people want explanations for each of these please leave a comment about it.

Xautos Jan 17, 2018 @ 4:12am. spoilers below: Kane was sent in after the Nexus Core because of his stroggified body, the scanners there would grant him access because he is a strogg, at least that was the plan. But it seems the new Makron isn't fooled by it as it was clearly a trap that was set before Kane got into the facility proper.

seta r_mode "-1". If you don't want to mess with files, you can also create a shortcut for the game executable, right click on it and on its properties, in the destination section, after the game path put this: +set r_mode -1 +set r_customHeight 1440 +set r_customWidth 2560. And then just start the game using that shortcut.
