The assembly with enclosure earlier mentioned if you search for it on Square D comes up with the breaker having a different catalog number QO260GFI3W - yet I can't find any details elsewhere for that catalog number.

Oct 12, 2024 · The QO260GFI breaker does not have a load neutral connection but does have and require a line neutral connection. There would be no reason for the neutral pigtail if the breaker did not require a neutral.

Nov 3, 2010 · I did not say the different channels offered all of the same products. I said that for a specific base catalog number everything was identical except for the packaging: a QO260GFICP = QO260GFI. They do not manufacturer different quality parts based on the "channel to market".

Oct 5, 2022 · The QO260GFI is not designed to function with unbalanced 120 VAC loads. It is primarily only for 240 VAC loads. The QO260GFI3W has a neutral load lug and is designed for dual voltage loads.

Jan 19, 2020 · I gotcha. I thought you meant a GFCI breaker with no load neutral terminal, like a QO260GFI. Still, L1- N loads will have a symmetrical current, L2-N loads will, and L1-L2 loads will. They should all still total to zero. Added: Wait! You did say a breaker without a load neutral terminal. Of course it will trip with any line-to-neutral load!

Oct 23, 2021 · I'm not sure what type of main panel and subpanel you're working with, but a Square-D QO260GFI costs $185 on the street. Whereas a contractor pack of four GFCI outlets can be bought from a big box store for $50 ($12.50 each) which means you could buy fifteen GFCI outlets for the cost of that single 60A 2-pole GFCI breaker.
