    Who is eligible for a PhD in UBC Vancouver?
    UBC Vancouver doctoral students in PhD, EdD and DMA programs are eligible, as well as UBC Okanagan doctoral students in years 1-5. Public Scholars must submit a report at the end of their first year and present their work as part of the PhDs Go Public event series.

    Now entering its ninth year, UBC’s Public Scholars Initiative (PSI) has announced 43 new doctoral students for the 2023/24 academic year. In 2022, the program was expanded to include doctoral students from the Okanagan campus, adding seven UBCO scholars.
