May 20, 2000 · To get the hammer placement correct, I made a jig out of 1/4" steel with the correct spacing from the trigger to hammer pin. I measured the CTC distance from my AK that I robbed the trigger group out of. It measured 1.565" CTC. The larger hole was drilled to 3/16" and reamed to accept the trigger pin which is about .195" dia.

Mar 24, 2011 · I've seen the PPS-43 pistols before with massive welds on the hinge and where the buttplate contacts the receiver. I saw one at a recent gunshow that just had a tiny tack weld on the hinge. Looked to be easily SBR'ed.

Mar 18, 2015 · Anyway I decided to build a separate chassis jig for my ranger build, called the guy that I bought the original beams from and he had a pair of 8"x5.5" x 3/8 thick H beams available for cheap, so I swung by and picked them up, suckers were long (15' each), it was a good thing I yanked the seats out of the centurion lol.

Aug 5, 2009 · Custom made jigs and careful welding practices - I know allot has to do with preperations -we take 2 splines sleeves and join them together and they have to be within .002 after wedling and it took a few tries to accomplish this -we ended up with a close tollerance on the fit -not to be disclosed on that we do , and a spline through the 2 pieces during the tack weld …

Feb 16, 2006 · Getting ready to truss my rear axle housing and I am trying to figure out the best method to keep the housing from warping. I have no jig bar, so thats out. I know that I need to weld just a little at a time letting the housing cool down signifigantly before welding again.
