Yes there is residue over everything, the residue was caused by me fighting the fire with the fire extinguisher, i used the fire extinguisher because there was at the beginning a small flame and sparks; therefore the residue being over everything and the house unliveable because of it in the air is due to the fire in the oven.
Smoke/fire alarm goes off when opening oven when in use
Dec 1, 2024 · Where the alarm went off on Thanksgiving (and similar in previous times) - cooking in the oven, and then opening the door to check on the food or take it out - then the alarm goes off, and the chaos starts because of it. Oven is new - about a year old, new gas oven/stove combo. She had an electric company replace all detectors maybe 2-3 years ago.

A food fire keeps burning until the fuel (or igniter--element) is exhausted, or cools down. 6. Aug 5, 2022 · although there is something in the pan at the bottom the previous owners left us , i ruled out a grease fire because of the audible pop noise followed by a serious electric arcing sound . the noise stopped when the cancel button was pushed and the oven door was opened to let the smoke out ( pun or no pun) the smoke dissipated quickly with no smell lingering .

Jan 18, 2013 · If there's a fire in the oven though, a proper ABC fire extinguisher will put it out, and with there being no where else the fire could POSSIBLY have gone (being contained inside the all-metal oven), there's no possibility it spread to be inside a wall or something.

The fire went out but the pyrex dish instantly shattered and then I had to spend the rest of the evening picking out chunks of glass and charred tortillas from my oven.

Sep 19, 2024 · I just got a new electric double oven range and it won’t push flush to the back wall. The 3-prong outlet is a surface mount in the center of the wall space between cabinets. The back of the stove has a recessed area to the right side and one to the left side, but the center part where the surface mount outlet would have to go is flat.
