A sun umbrella is a kind of umbrella, and then you use adjectives before that to describe it - old, big, colourful, favourite, strange, whatever they may be.

Nov 5, 2016 · I don't think the order of adjectives described by Encolpius works in Romance languages. I have just seen an ad in Czech saying pravá italská horká čokoláda, "real Italian hot chocolate", which I would translate into Portuguese as o verdadeiro chocolate quente italiano, with verdadeiro, an adjective, before chocolate, a noun.

What foreign learners are taught is the most common order in which adjectives are likely to appear in a noun phrase. I have read that it goes from more specific to more general, and that makes sense. "fat old men" versus "old fat men".
