Aug 31, 2002 · The LG OLED TV models are also an option if you disable automatic static brightness limiter from the service menu. Pretty much all of these are the same thing - same LG TV panels, varying firmware and port features. If you've been using a 43" monitor, I'd aim at the 42" OLED models instead. They are a more practical size for a desktop unit.

Jan 9, 2023 · edit: according to RTings review of the LG 48gq900: Unfortunately, the matte anti-reflective coating adds a bit of haze to the screen, reducing the clarity a bit, so it's slightly worse than the LG 42 C2 OLED. Testing the 50 to 60 degree human viewing angle for part of your testing, if possible, would be valuable.

Apr 7, 2023 · This monitor arrived at my house yesterday, and I spent roughly two hours gaming on it last night. I own a 55 inch LG C2 OLED panel, which I’ve been gaming on for three years. Not all games run well at 4K, even with a 4090, so I thought that a 1440p monitor beside the 4K display would be a nice option for higher frames.

Jul 5, 2012 · While it might be possible to make these video modes available it would be quite problematic for advertising such monitor and all supported video modes would need to be tested and validated. It is simpler to just use standard speeds and when possible when DP 2.1 is more available make native 4K at 480Hz, maybe next year.

Oct 26, 2023 · My desktop gaming pc has desktop size klipsch speakers and a big floor subwoofer in 7.1 surround spread around the 9x12 room it's in currently. I send the video + audio signal to the OLED TV using a hdmi 2.1 cable, then I use another hdmi 2.1 cable to output full uncompressed hdmi audio from the OLED TV to my receiver.

Nov 1, 2023 · After using it for a couple days my main take away is the obvious in that it is an amazing SDR gaming monitor and in very specific games, a decent HDR gaming monitor. I was worried about text quality after seeing how gross the AW3423DW looked but thankfully this monitors text is perfectly adequate for desktop use.

I had the AW3820 and LOVED the size and shape but the picture quality sucked and looked washed out with light bleed. I traded it for the AW3423DW OLED and holy cow the OLED is ten millions better.
