Mar 16, 2022 · The email is from the nine9 company email & nine9 is an actual agency.. but im a bit skeptical as to how “legit” this place is. I was never asked for a resume or headshot, or anything other than my name, email and phone number (I have no acting experience whatsoever, I just signed up for this on a whim).

May 29, 2019 · It’s actually not a legal requirement of just talent agencies. No work procurement service is allowed to charge before they get you the work. Even temp agencies that have nothing to do with acting have to follow this law. So yes, it’s a scam. These kinds of pay for play things run rampant in the entertainment industry.

Nov 10, 2015 · hey there everybody. I have personal one-on-one knowledge of this company, one source talent agency, now doing business as nine9. I can't say for certain that it is a scam or not. But what I can say is, the services they provide for you are a waste of money. One person has already stated that they required a certain amount of money up front.

Because they are not doing anything "legally" wrong. Don't get me wrong, it is still a scam by industry standards. You don't need what they are selling because that should be free. If you elect to pay them- that's on you. Unfortunately, people with stars in their eyes often have open wallets to pay for a trip to nowhere.

I joined this zoom and the guy looked really familiar so I was really skeptical but once he said the name of the company 9nine I instantly felt it was a scam. I did the research and 98% of what I saw confirmed it.

I put in my info because being in that movie would be so cool, and I got a text today that said “Hi, I got your Talent Application and want you to attend an Online Open Call either today at 3pm or 5pm or tomorrow at 11am ET.
