Jul 13, 2021 · I have a horse who is navicular and have had her on Stride OrthoMax and Stride Rewind supplements but haven't noticed any huge benefits from them. A friend suggested Equinety since she's seen it work wonders for her horse with ring bone. I also saw there's a supplement out there called Naviculasaver. Does anyone have experience with these …

Jan 28, 2014 · My horse did not show bone changes but DID have soft tissue injury that showed on MRI. Navicular can be a catch all term for heel pain, so many times a horse will be diagnosed as navicular even if there are no changes to the navicular bone, itself. A good barefoot trimmer is the route that I would go. My horse had literally been lame on/off for ...

May 7, 2014 · Last August my horse was x-rayed and showed navicular. I think he has been for while. He had been off and on lame for a few years. He also had strained some tendons/ligaments and was very lame. He has been off for 10 months and I am thinking about starting to ride him again. He also has thin soles and gets sore because of that. My question is what are your …

Still ride him several days a week now at 25. We raised his heels and the toe of his shoe is rolled for better breakover. When I was still running him I injected his coffins twice a year, seemed ...

Caudal heel pain- early navicular changes - share stories
Sep 24, 2016 · I feel like I'm trying to tread and keep my head above the water.. I'm not ever planning on selling my colt so I'll put his medical history out there in hopes it helps someone else or anyone has ideas. When he was 3 he had some behavioral issues under saddle so I took him into the vet... a bal and scope was done and he was diagnosed with severe allergies. He was …

barrelracinbroke - 2017-12-28 7:45 PM For me, provided the diagnosis was 100% for sure it was navicular, I would heel nerve one with no hesitation. The horse I filled my wpra permit on years ago was nerved as a 7 year old, then redone as a 13 year old for navicular and never once had an issue. He ran up in to his early 20's.

Jun 18, 2019 · I've used it on 2 horses. 1 was a young horse who already had bad x-rays - it did not help her. Neither did any shoeing, joint injections, etc. She wouldn't stay sound for any riding. The other is my mare who presents like she has navicular problems (sore in both fronts, gets short strided, heel sore) but her x-rays don't look bad. It seemed to ...

Dec 15, 2021 · So a year ago i had a mare who was diagnosed as a mild navicular bursitis in her right front hoof. After speaking to the vet when we gained the diagnosis the vet firmly believes this had to happen due to years of this mare pawing (it was a bad habit even when i bought her and shes 14 now.) The vet said rest is what she needs. The vet didn't see a problem with her …

Oct 10, 2017 · Finally found a horse that I love! But one thing. He’s slightly toed out. I’ll have a vet check. What else should I consider? Should I even bother? He been used used as a ranch trail horse lightly. He’s only 4. I’ll be using him for the same purpose. Horse shopping sucks! I miss the days when it was fun and not so many bad horses and bad sellers! Lol uhhhhh oh and one …
