The Bronx Zoo is enforcing a new mask policy that’s consistent with recent New York state and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance. The zoo says masks will be required indoors for all guests over the age of 2, regardless of their vaccination status. The policy will be enforced on Friday, Aug. 6.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on Friday announced a statewide mask mandate for all indoor public places unless the businesses or venues already have a vaccine requirement in place. The new mandate goes into effect Monday through Jan. 15, 2022, at which point the state will reassess its effectiveness based on Covid-related public health conditions.
