When you say it is flashing, one would think that means something is amiss with the NOAA weather station’s received signal at your alert radio. It will be interesting to see what Midland has to say. I also have a WR120 but it failed on me.

Jul 12, 2018 · There is no "transmit frequency" column in Chirp (late June version), so I can't turn that "off." How do I assure that no accidental transmissions occur on these channels from a programming standpoint? I'm using a Baofeng radio. I am surprised this is not automatically programmed into the pre-programmed NOAA channels provided in Chirp.

Feb 17, 2015 · Let's hope that they find a solution soon--- perhaps reassigning it to another NOAA frequency that would still be compatible with all the weather service alert radios would help resolve the issue. In fact, I recall hearing a test of KWO-35 last year on 162.400 for about 15 minutes duration. Hope they can get these issues resolved.

Jul 3, 2022 · This is starting to sound like an alignment or bandwidth filter issue. FM broadcast radio sounds fine - FM broadcast uses a -much- wider bandwidth than what you'd use on the 2 meter band. Broadcast FM is 75KHz deviation, so it's going to use a much wider filter than the FM analog you use on 2 meters.

Dec 18, 2023 · Newcastle WY NWR off frequency. Assigned to !62.475, the past several days it is actually transmitting on 162.375 MHz. With the incoming winter storm this may be nice to know!
