Oct 7, 2024 · About three dozen of our 50 total cruises have been with NCL. We like the ships, the look and feel of the cruise, and the overall impression of NCL. I'm not sure, though, if I honestly could recommend NCL if I found a similar cruise that cost 60% less than NCL. NCL may be good, but I don't think it's THAT much better than any other.

Jan 12, 2025 · NCL is putting their best resources, including personnel, on the newer larger ships. The smaller ships which include the Pearl are understaffed. That said, Mediterranean cruises are port-intensive and you won’t have a lot of free time on the ship. My advice is to choose a different ship or a different cruise line entirely.

I check out everything my local library has on places I plan to visit. I can’t help with the other ports. Have a great cruise, and do plan on some time in Rome before or after.

As mentioned, you get water from a water from your stateroom sink, or glasses of water from a buffet dispenser (never putting your water bottle up to the dispenser).
