We were shooting my Sig 226 in .40 S&W and when she was shooting she had an exceptional amount of stove pipes. I am thinking that this was due to a limp wristing issue, but I had 2-3 myself. We were shooting monarch .40 ammo, simply because its cheap.

Jun 6, 2015 · I have been using Monarch from Academy in 7.62X39 both in Polymer coated HP rounds and FMJ with excellent results. The polymer coated rounds are a bit more accurate in the gun I shoot, but for $5.99 a box, over the $5.49 it is worth it. I have also used Monarch .30-06 (brass case) 150gr soft point in my Ruger American.

Jul 31, 2009 · Posts: 1,284. its 9.99 for steel and 11.99 for brass. Ive shot both in my PX4 and CX4 they all feed fire and cycle fine. I tried the Steel in my revolver, and it expanded the case causing the case to get stuck. the brass extracted fine. Its not as cheap as wally world ammo, but i can get my hands on it, so i dont mind.

A local gun range has banned it from being used at the range as there were apparently over charged or otherwise defective rounds encountered on multiple occasions according to the range.
