Thing is an emulator is very different to a native port, the device doing emulation requires like x amount more power than the original console , the actual specs of the vita on paper sound wayyy more powerful than the ps2 but it’s handheld, running on super low power consumption and has no actual cooling, it runs on passive cooling, so it’s pretty hard to compare the two.

Looking for recommendations Vita vs Switch Lite : r/VitaPiracy
Jul 26, 2022 · vita is a great handheld for classic games and emulators! though switch arguably would have a better time with it, being able to emulate up to ps2 pretty well, that modchip is hard to find and expensive, not to mention hard to install. if you don't care about ps2 emulation and all the other cool stuff you can do on the switch (like running Linux/android), vita would be my pick.
How to factory reset my hacked vita ? : r/VitaPiracy - Reddit
Just restored and formatted my old hacked vita (3.65 変革 O) that was hacked many years back. I was surprised henkaku still there and vitashell still accessible via near… but everything else was wiped out from restore+format.
