Bowel cleansing before a colonoscopy can be done using MiraLAX and Gatorade on a two-part schedule. You need to drink clear liquids only and not eat at all.
How To Prepare for Your Colonoscopy Using MiraLAX®
May 20, 2024 · Get your MiraLAX bowel prep ready. On the morning of the day before your procedure, mix all 238 grams of the MiraLAX powder with 64 ounces of a room temperature clear liquid until the MiraLAX powder dissolves. Once the MiraLAX is dissolved, you can put the mixture in the refrigerator. This is optional.
When to Drink Your Bowel Prep The day before your colonoscopy: In a pitcher mix the 8.3 ounces of MiraLAX® with the 64 ounces of Gatorade®. Stir/shake the contents until the entire contents of MiraLAX® are completely dissolved. Chill if desired. Do NOT add ice, sugar or any other flavorings to the solution. Morning Appointments (Before 12 noon)
Miralax And Dulcolax Bowel Prep For Colonoscopy
Start the Miralax preparation between 2pm and 4pm. Pour out about 8 oz. of Gatorade or G2 to allow room for the Miralax. Mix the 8.3 oz. of Miralax (14 doses bottle) with the Gatorade in a large pitcher or bowl. Drink one 8 oz. glass of the solution every 15 minutes until the mixture is gone.
