Sep 29, 2022 · I disabled and enabled hardware acceleration, PlayReady DRM for Windows and Widevine DRM in Edge settings. Windows updates are all done and graphics driver is up to date. I already contacted Apple support on this but since it is device and maybe even browser specific, they suggested to contact Edge support.

Mar 5, 2020 · Make Edge your default browser. Add the website to your homescreen via Safari. Opens in Edge. Hope this helps :) Unfortunately this didn’t work for me. It still opened in Safari. I ‘added to home page’ from Safari after making Edge my default and confirming that other links did open Edge rather than Safari.

Since Internet explorer retired, I am using Microsoft Edge on Mac OS, but I am unable to find IE Mode on Mac M1 Chip laptop. I have standardised on running Edge across all my Windows, Apple and Linux devices. Love it! However Edge on the iPad looks different to Edge on the iPhone. It does not have the ability to do a picture background and has the annoying big "+" button on the home screen to add sites to the home screen and does not seem to be a way to turn this off.
