Jul 3, 2022 · Just like the other person said, I wouldn't recommend freezing matzo based meals (matzo balls being the exception) as the texture may not be the same. You can make matzo ball soup; matzo brei (crack 1 matzo into a bowl, briefly soak in water... then drain, add 1 egg and then add to a medium heat frying pan.

Nov 28, 2013 · Kaplan's Deli on Oak, by 41st avenue has a small section in the front of the restaurant that sells matzo meal and packaged boxes to make the balls. I always buy the boxes because all I have to add is oil and egg. They also carry other jewish goodies. I've also seen save on foods (by Brentwood mall) carrying boxes of matzo ball mix.

In a medium bowl mix 2 large eggs with 1/4 cup of vegetable oil or smaltz 2. Add the contents of only one package and mix until uniform. Let stand for 15 minutes.

Some will ask for matzo meal, some for matzo cake meal, you should be able to find both. You likely can use regular matzo meal instead, although it does not have as fine a texture as matzo cake meal.

That the roll doesn't have the texture of bread. Well to me it seems the roll does have the texture of bread, they are similar to any dinner roll. Point 1 I don't understand. Can you help?
