Sep 3, 2019 · Flatlander, just letting you know how my hunt went. I ended up bow hunting the Truman Lake area. Drove up Sunday, started hunting Monday and harvested a dandy 10 Tuesday morning. Hopefully the pics will come thru. Thanks to all for the advice!

I don't know much about the area you are talking about but everywhere I have bowhunted in the Mark Twain National Forest the hunting pressure is very very light to just me for miles and miles.....

Jan 11, 2019 · I switched to a mobile hunting method three years ago. Using a mobile stand similar to a lone wolf, xop, muddy blood sport, etc with muddy pro climbing sticks. This method allowed me room to move and adjust. Scout and hang on good sign. This is a great method for public land. You need to check out the Hunting Public YouTube page.

Dec 19, 2015 · Really the best deer hunting in MO is traditionally North of I-70 and really north of 36 is the most coveted. Mark twain national forest gets hammered during gun season and then you won't see anyone during bow season or small game hunting. Missouri has something like 10 deer hunters/square mile statewide and the national forest is worse.

US Department of Agriculture. I may have paid $10.00 back then. Give them a Call at Rolla and they will help you out. All Forest Ground is in green and shows private in White.
