The Mariposa is a ‘hands-on’ museum of artifacts from around the world, located in the center of Peterborough in the historic Baptist Church building. We celebrate other cultures with regional exhibitions, performances and programs.

Mariposa Museum 26 Main Street Peterborough, NH 03458. Hours: Open: Friday - Sunday 11 to 5. Closed: Major Holidays. The museum is also a great venue for birthday parties, anniversaries, and meetings. The Museum is a 501C3 charitable organization.

The Mariposa Museum owes its existence and much of its vision to its co-founders, Linda Marsella and David Blair, and to the entire Blair family.
What’s On 2025 — Mariposa Museum
Mariposa Museum has opened our winter exhibit, “Textile Treasures of Guatemala,” at 26 Main Street in Peterborough, NH. The exhibit draws principally from a collection of huipiles , the stunning embroidered blouses woven by Mayan women in the highlands of Guatemala.
