The highest campground at 10,220', this tents only campground has been found, as it sits adjacent to the Long Draw Reservoir with stunning view of the nearby high altitude peaks in the Neota and Comanche Peaks Wilderness areas and Rocky Mountain National Park.

The route is a 30-mile loop starting at either Long Draw North Trailhead (Chevelon Crossing Campground) or Long Draw South Trailhead (Chevelon Lake Campground). The route is restricted to street-legal /licensed vehicles (vehicles must have a m/c plate and OHV tag.)

Aug 3, 2023 · Saturday, Aug. 5 will be the last night to camp at Grandview or Long Draw campgrounds. Corral Creek Trailhead will remain open. A foot path will be open to walk past the construction site if visitors would like to access Long Draw Reservoir or La Poudre Pass Trailhead during the closure.

When camping near the very popular Manhattan, Long Draw, and Peterson Lake roads, camp only at sites marked with numbered posts. These designated sites protect the roads from overuse. There is no camping within ¼ mile of Highway 14, within ¼ mile of lower Stove Prairie Road, or within ¼ mile of upper Pingree Park Road.

Travel south 3.5 miles, passing Hannah Campground to Long Draw Road (NFSR 209). Turn southwest (right) on Long Draw Road (NFSR 209) and proceed 3.1 miles to the trailhead, which is on the north (right) side.

Motorized boats are allowed on Chambers Lake(wakeless speed only), Dowdy Lake (wakeless speed only), Long Draw Reservoir (electric only), Lake Granby, Shadow Mountain Reservoir and Willow Creek Reservoir.
