Little Caesars restaurants strive to cut down on cheese to save money on every pizza slice. As you might be aware, cheese contributes to about 40% of a pizza’s cost. Little Caesar’s restaurants counter this relatively high price by using 100% mozzarella cheese prepared from real milk. This pre-shredded cheese has low water content.

Pre-shredded, low-moisture cheese can be stored for a long time, which is why Little Caesars exclusively uses mozzarella cheese made from real cow's milk. The only time the mozzarella is supplemented is on the Hot-N-Ready pizzas, which also includes Muenster cheese.
