Lisa (Downs) Bullock was born in Helena, Montana. She is the oldest of six children in an Irish Catholic family. Her father was a psychology professor, and her mother a registered nurse. Lisa graduated from the Helena public school system in 1985.

Lisa has worked for several large corporations and has taught high school mathematics. Currently, she is a Research & Development Manager for Court View Justice Solutions. Along with her husband, Lisa is an advocate for feeding kids who come to school hungry.
