Sep 3, 2017 · One thing that's important (and I quote from R4d Dot) "it should be noted that the Leica M's viewfinder is preset by default to -0.5 diopters. So anyone wearing glasses of 1 diopter strength would require a +1.5 diopters M system correction lens.

Jun 28, 2024 · Not sure i would use a sticky accessory on black paint but my experience with the Thumbie is limited to my silver M11. As for my M240's thumb grip, it is silver also. It is the Match Technical EP-10S Thumbs Up Grip for Leica M (Typ 240) and M (Typ 262) (Silver). Excellent grip but i have no experience with the black version.

Nov 27, 2020 · I'm a hobby shooter and have gone through Nikon, Canon, and Sony gear, and then got into Leica M a couple of years ago. Love my M10P and M3 and am building up a nice collection of M lenses. I have been shooting with just natural light but would now like to experiment more with portraits and controlled lighting and external flashes.

And partly, it is exactly as thighslapper says - all-mechanical fine metal-milling and fitting throughout is more expensive than a lens partly made of electronics and chips and solenoids (and "firmware") with snap-together assembly.

May 28, 2016 · My M-10, the newest in a long line of M's, T's, D's, and V's (and some screw mounts) began to spend more time in the bag, and that disturbed me. A trip to Indonesia (pandemic cancelled) made me re-evaluate the M-10 as back-up.

Jan 15, 2019 · Leica M diopters screw right on the back of the viewfinder. So instead of removing anything you add the diopter to the camera. Seems that Leica with the M10 changed the viewfinder screw-in so M10s cameras need their own new diopters meant for M10 cameras (not backward compatible).
