Sep 29, 2005 · None-the-less, even 'leather seating' often times use alot of leatherette, even on the surface of the seats, such as the side bolsterings. This is to reduce the areas that leather typically wears really bad. Leatherette still smells very similar to leather and you can't really tell if a high quality leatherette is used.

Feb 18, 2008 · Leather vs. leatherette - I drove a base model 08 CTS with the leatherette and the comfort of the seat was fine as compared to my 08 CTS with leather. However, what is NOT fine is that you'd be missing all the other options included with the seating package.

Aug 27, 2020 · It comes with Leatherette seats that can be optioned to leather. These are really nice seats, which also are in the Sport. Same seats on CT4-V/CT5-V. I like these seats a lot better than the seats in CT4 Lux + Prem Lux. I thought I have read somewhere that some Recaro seats don't have the various Cadillac features, but I have not had them.

Dec 3, 2022 · I was excited about the new Lyriq, but discovered that the seats may not come in real leather. Regardless of what is hip or vegan or whatever, a lux vehicle should have the option of real materials for the seats. It’s not a RAV4 nor a CRV but a Cadillac. I placed my reservation but honestly may withdraw it…yeah just because of plastic seats.

You have "leather seating surfaces," the term used since the 70's when carmakers realized they could save money putting vinyl around the sides of the seats. I believe it's true for the XTS as for the DTS, only the Platinum has full leather seats (of a softer grade of leather).

Feb 8, 2021 · The base seats are the same ones as in the CT4-V, just with black leatherette as the only upholstery. They have adjustable side bolsters and seat heaters. The Performance steering wheel is optional, as are the Alcantera wheel and shifter, and the red seat belts. The next upgrade is to the upgraded seats with alcantera seat backs.

May 10, 2012 · The seats look better than brand new, having that aged-leather patina. Now I am considering an ATS to replace the Catera. The ATS comes standard with Leatherette and you must buy the Luxury package for $4,500 to get leather.

Dec 27, 2017 · If you can do that, you are not going to have Memory seats or heated seats, unless you already have it. Even with a new 12 way seat, you won't have buzzing, because you don't have the Driver Awareness Pkg, that also requires sensors in the bumpers. Heated seats and warnings are tied into CUE, so you probably couldn't get any tech features.
