Oct 7, 2010 · I think it's a tough decision. I like the heaviest versions of Kashmir from '75 and '77. Two good examples would be New York 2/12/75. You can hear Bonzo count it off, "1,2,3,4!" and BAM! the song erupts. LA 6/21/77, the classic '77 bootleg Listen to This Eddie, the band immediately goes into Kashmir after White Summer/Black Mountain Side.

If you notice, during the O2 show, there are big lighted letters that spell out the words "Led Zeppelin". It would appear that the gentlemen on the stage playing were billing themselves as "Led Zeppelin".

Sep 19, 2024 · Don't believe they played White Summer in 71. It was last played in Spring 70 with allusions to Bron-Yr-Aur which they'd not yet recorded. The only connection between White Summer and Kashmir I can think of is White Summer was revived in 77 - with Black Mountain Side - and was the lead-in to Kashmir through to 1980. Jog the memory any?
