Komodo as a go to 30# reel | Bloodydecks - BDoutdoors
Jun 14, 2017 · The komodo caught my eye since it was announced, but the line capacity has me bit hesitant to pick one up. As I understand the reel can take 300 or so yards of 50# braid. Would this be enough if say, I'm fishing 25# grade tuna and a …

Oct 15, 2019 · They are awesome little reels. The Komodo 400’s maingear is bigger than the tranx 500’s main gear Plus the Komodo has stainless steel gears as opposed to brass so it won’t be as smooth When it’s new (they get smoother once they are broken in) but it is stronger.. ps: Most Shimano handles and Daiwa handles fit the Komodo if anyone is wondering.
Okuma Komodo/rod suggestions | Bloodydecks - BDoutdoors
Mar 18, 2021 · Looking for a rod to pair with an okuma Komodo 471p. So far I’ve been considering okuma scti 8’6xh, phenix abyss 809h, irod Kaimana 8’2h. Of course there’s the usual suspects like seekers and cal stars, but this will be my first season trying to work irons, colt snipers etc. so I want to even out my quiver.

Rod for Komodo SS 463P | Bloodydecks - BDoutdoors
Mar 31, 2019 · I need some rod recommendations for my Komodo SS463P reel. Nearly all of my fishing will be on party boats in the Gulf of Mexico. In general, I see the reel as 30 lb. and used for fishing with bait, casting Halco Max 130 lures, and maybe some vertical jig fishing. I prefer rods with reel seats. Thanks in advance for your input.

Feb 8, 2017 · I am interested in buying a Komodo reel and I want to use it on my 8ft Calstar. The problem I have is the fishing rod has a deckhand grip. I know there is a Tiburon clamp for the Daiwa Lexa and Tranx, but I don't know if there clamp that will work with the Komodo. I called the clamp manufacture directly and they didn't know either.
Old Lexa 400 Vs. New Lexa 400HD Vs. Komodo 450 | Bloodydecks
Jul 25, 2016 · The Komodo 450 only has to be the same reel as the Komodo 364 to be the best of the bunch in that size...which really only has the Lexa 400 as competition. The Lexa 400 HD has slightly tougher internals than the standard Lexa but is …
Komodo/Lexa reel clamp? | Bloodydecks - BDoutdoors
Jan 19, 2023 · Otherwise for a Komodo 400 reel…the Tiburon clamp fits perfectly. It fits perfectly almost 6 years ago though we have to shave or grind the corner then. Now Tiburon listened & pre-shaved it into an angle…here’s the pics of my old Tib clamp way back in 2017 (bottom) & the New one (upper) now…Sweet!

Sep 2, 2016 · Hey Gerry, the Komodo SS 471P ( "400" 16 oz) is a much smaller and lighter reel than a Tranx ("500" 22 oz) with a somewhat smaller capacity to match. It has about the same spool height of a Komodo 364 or Revo Toro Beast but is just a little little wider and stouter.
