Sep 6, 2022 · 2 years ago I got a job through jobot, the recruiter was very helpful and knowledgeable. I worked there for a year and moved on to another contract. It seems like nowadays Jobot sends you to their crappy website and doesn't reach out unless you meet the keyword match related to the job posting responsibilities.

My current job is from Jobot. What I know is that they are the medium, they got paid based on the people that the company actually hires (just like you will get a bonus if you refer someone). The thing is that Jobot doesn't tell you which company it is until you do the interview, and most communication has to go through them.

May 24, 2023 · There's a special place in hell for Cybercoders. Stopped dealing with them after one of their recruiters presented me to a company without my permission. Unfortunately, you can't completely delete your profile with them, and I would still get emails from every newly hired recruiter obviously told to start by mining their existing database.

A recruiter reached out looking for applicants to staff some PM type roles with a partner firm - the compensation seems above average/great and the hiring expectations aren’t super unreasonable.. I just can’t find much about them besides a few old Reddit posts.

I think Jobot is a pyramid scheme/multi-tier marketing company under the veil of a recruiting company. From all the self-promotion and organizational hubris displayed on social media such as LinkedIn it just carries a certain smell.

Jan 26, 2023 · It’s a sales job. You find a company that needs help hiring. You charge the company a fee to go find them the perfect candidate. Often times you spend days or even weeks reaching out to dozens and dozens of candidates. You spend hours on the phone talking to these candidates and then send the right ones to the company you’re working with.

You have absolutely 0 synergy amongst your area of speciality and spend more time competing with colleagues than other businesses. They encourage you to send multiple blind resumes to clients which is completely unethical.

Jan 18, 2024 · I had several leads from Jobot, and I'd contact their recruiters directly when I saw something interesting. Also had their recruiters reach out to me directly several times regarding positions. I did have the opportunity to do a fellowship with them recently as well while I was retiring from the military, but I passed on it for another opportunity.
