Why is this continually changing even after I change the registry setting back to .jpg? As a side note, the image I am saving is NOT a .jfif file and I do not have the option to save as a .jpg from the file save window.

May 22, 2024 · My workaround was the turn on the option "Always ask where to save the downloaded file" and when the window pops up you can change the name of the file also, you can change the format from .jfif to .png or .jpg. It's not a solution but it is easier that convert the files everytime. To do that just modify under the File name field the format.

Jun 7, 2024 · Every time teams launches again it will download files in the JFIF format. Just yesterday it would still download as jpeg but now it won't work. I even tried downloading previous pictures that had downloaded as JPEGs before and it will download them as JFIF now.

My other AIs continue to export JPG. I don't believe this is an Edge problem because Chrome also exports JFIF when I access BING Image Creator with that browser.
