Over the course of her career, Yayoi Kusama has produced more than twenty distinct Infinity Mirror Rooms. The Hirshhorn’s exhibition is the first to focus on this groundbreaking body of work and will present six of the rooms, the most ever shown together.

Two of Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirror Rooms are in the Broad collection. Kusama’s Infinity Mirrored Room—The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away (2013) is now open with reservations required in advance. Kusama’s Longing for Eternity (2017) is on view on the third floor and doesn't require reservations.

May 18, 2021 · Infinity Mirrored Room – Filled with the Brilliance of Life is one of Kusama’s largest installations to date and was made for her 2012 retrospective at Tate Modern. It is shown alongside Chandelier of Grief, a room which creates the illusion of a boundless universe of rotating crystal chandeliers.

Oct 14, 2023 · Kusama’s first solo presentation in Northern California encompasses two Infinity Mirror Rooms, including her newest room, Dreaming of Earth’s Sphericity, I Would Offer My Love (2023), a cosmos of dancing color and light.
