Ibanez Gio basses any good? - TalkBass.com
Nov 14, 2014 · I played an Ibanez sr900 for seven years and although it sounded great, I couldn't get any sort of growl out of the thing. It was just to clean a tone. I Sold it for a Squier Jaguar p/j bass, and I get great tones from it. I'd recommend the Squier jaguar short scale. A lot of fun, easy to play, and sounds decent. All for under $200 brand new.
Ibanez AEGB24E Electric Acoustic Bass - TalkBass.com
Aug 8, 2022 · One wonders why guitar importers don't specify basic cleaning and waxing should be done before shipping. It makes an inexpensive instrument appear to be more one of a higher price point. In playing the AEGB this morning, it became apparent to me that medium scale (32") is perfect for my left hand reach.
what strings do ibanez basses ship with? - TalkBass.com
Oct 22, 2015 · Someone here (or over at acousticguitarforum discussing either Martin or Taylor, can't remember which, doing the same thing) pointed out how using coated strings is a good idea for moving product: fresh-ish strings on an instrument in a store sound better than rusty and cruddy ones, so people are a little more likely to leave the store with the guitar, if only because …

Jan 5, 2015 · Hi! I've got an Ibanez SR905 (2004 Made in Korea), and today one of the tuners broke (the metal gave up, the peg separated from the tuning machine, it died, kaput!). I'm looking to get a quick and low price replacement. I will probably look for something better in the long run, probably change...
NBD Ibanez GSR190 - Much better than expected! - TalkBass.com
Jan 17, 2005 · My favorite vintage Ibanez basses have hot passive pickups — and this bass did not disappoint! I’ve seen these panned a bit on TB with recommendations to “get the SR300” but this one seems to have soaked up some mojo. The thinly finished maple neck has yellowed and darkened nicely and the contour of the body feels quite like my MIJ SR800.
Passive Ibanez Models... - TalkBass.com
Feb 28, 2020 · Active basses have separate BASS and TREBLE (and more than a few have MIDS) boost/cut controls. Look for a battery box (usually on the back of the bass). Most have a BALANCE control instead of separate volumes for each pickup. Generally, if you see separate volume controls and a TONE control, you're looking at a passive bass.
