It would seem it is only a money making venture, on Microsoft's behalf. Edge is slower to load, if it loads at all. I gave it a shot and was completely let down.

If this is the case, please can you go to edge:\\Settings\search. On that page, you will see an option "Search engine used in the address bar". There is a drop down menu which will allow you to choose the search engine you want to use. You will want to select which one you want to use and then close the settings page.
