Jul 5, 2024 · Hi! I think I have the same problem with my new 2024 hybrid sonata. But, the difference is that the car doesnt say “key not detected”, it says to press the brake pedal and turn on the car using start/stop button and when I do that it doesnt turn the ignition on, showing small yellow car icon with key symbol in the middle.

Sep 15, 2017 · Hello From the Dominican Republic. I have a Hyundai Sonata 2011 Limited. Since a month ago my car stopped detecting my fob key. Couldn't start my car without inserting the key inside the console, doors and trunk buttons were not responding either. What was kind of weird was that I still able to open and close the doors using the remote.

Sep 14, 2021 · All the other doors lock with the key fob. I’m pretty sure the alarm isn’t setting. The car won’t beep to confirm locking with fob unless I manually lock the back door. I’m referring to the dome light, not the dash.

Aug 15, 2017 · 2016 Sonata Limited, with Tech and Ultimate Packages. Overall really enjoying the car. Got into it this morning to head to work, touched the Start Button, and *nothing* happened. No Clicks, nothing turning over, just silence. A little Icon showed up, showing a car with a key in it, and at one point, it said something like 'key cannot be detected.'

Mar 2, 2020 · No store or locksmith can program Smart Key FOBs. They were only able to program the older non-smart keys. Every store or locksmith I contacted about 2015+ Smart Key FOB programming, told me that I need to go to Hyundai. The 2015 Sonata has a max limit of 2 FOBs that can be programmed to the car at one time.

Dec 22, 2020 · About two weeks ago, my key fob started acting up. Sometimes it would unlock the car from outside, sometimes not. When inside the car, sometimes it would say key not detected, and would have to start the car by pressing the fob against the start button. Today, I brought out my spare, which was never used, and same thing.
