C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\options.txt find Gamma: 1.0, should be 4th down from the top. Edit that as you wish, 2 or 3 should be more than plently. 100 is barbaric but I use that when building since there are no shadows.

Jun 13, 2022 · I don't know any other way to change the brightness other than using Full Bright. It will likely take a bit for Optifine 1.19 to come out, but when it does, download it and Full Bright and that should give that same gamma change effect.

Jul 8, 2022 · I used to have my gamma at 1000 so I could see better at night and in caves. It worked perfectly in 1.18. I took a break for a while and came back in 1.19. My gamma was reset to 1 in files, and now even when I change it back it doesn’t effect anything in game. I don’t know what to do or why this isn’t working.
