Introduced as Honda's most powerful three-wheeler, the ATC185 sports a new 180cc engine that cranks out twice the muscle of an ATC110. Equipped with a five-speed semiautomatic transmission with an ultra-low First gear, the ATC 185 could be equipped with optional Hondaline® front and rear racks and a trailer hitch to convert it into a workhorse.

Built in 1980, Honda's ATC 185 is the predecessor to the ATC 185S, which was produced from 1981 to 1983. While the length and width of the vehicles remained the same, Honda's ATC 185S had smaller wheels than the 185. The wheelbase decreased from 45.7 inches on the 185 to 44.1 inches on the 185S.
