Gypsum cornices are interior accessories any modern house should not miss and designers should have them in their concepts when proposing designs to clients. Made of Plaster of Paris, Gypsum cornices are usually installed at the corner between the wall and ceiling and can best fit on concrete surfaces, gypsum ceiling or fibrous surfaces.

Cornice designs come in two types of material choices- Gypsum and Plaster of Paris. Even though both the materials contain calcium sulphite, in gypsum these cornices are reinforced with polyurethane. This is what gives gypsum cornices an edge over Plaster of Paris, making them stronger and much easier to drill through.

Cornice is made from a gypsum plaster core encased in a white paper lining and is a great way to enhance the appearance of any room. Cornices can also be used to conceal any surface cracks or settlement cracks where wall and ceiling joints meet.
