Our Story. In 1947, Gus Alexander, a Greek immigrant, opened Gus's Hot Dogs in its current, original location. In the late 1960s, Gus then sold the business to Aleck Choraitis, another Greek immigrant who continued its culinary traditions.

Gus's Hot Dogs was established in the early 1940s by Gus Alexander. He later sold the business to Aleck Choriatis in the 1960s and passed along the original recipes. In 1997, George Nasiakos took over the restaurant.
