Sure, you can't add/change the Ash, but it comes with Golden Land--a great Ash for this type of build. And as a huge plus--a massive club just looks awesome for this type of build.

Great club also has the benefit of being a great hammer, so you don't need as much poise to poise through enemy attacks compared to other heavy weapons like UGSs. Again, being a hammer, it deals strike damage. The great club is arguably best in it's class.

Mar 17, 2021 · The Raw infusion will remove all the scaling your weapon has, hence disconnecting the damage for your weapon from your current stats. So if you want to keep using the great club for a bit, I would recommend the heavy gem since it will instead improve the strength scaling of the great club to an A.

A great if unorthodox PvE weapon, the damage per hit is not bad at all but going to understandably be lower than the great club and bkgs. If you plan to always 2hand it you can actually go 27 strength (40 2handed) 30 luck (with 2 hollow equips to make 40 luck) and then put points into Dex for more damage or any other stat you want.
