Jun 12, 2004 · We have a Kubota ZD21 (21hp diesel, 60" deck) and a Grasshopper 614 (14hp B&S Vangaurd, 48" deck) and 725K (25hp Kohler, 60" deck) . The Grasshopper 725K is by far my favorite one to operate. Kubota ZD21: Pros: Excellent Kubota diesel engine, nice hydraulically controlled PTO and deck lift, good commercial grade machine, no repairs in 600hrs.

Apr 24, 2018 · I bought a 2018 725DT with a 61in, front mount, side discharge, powerfold deck. It has the Grammer seat, speed trimming roller kit and bar tread tires. Here in Indiana we are not in full cutting mode just yet but I do have about 7 hours of seat time and I have to say so far so good.

But the Scag is probably the best all around mower on the list and then I would say JD if you have a dealer close. The Pro Turn 400 is way out of your price range and the 60 inch deck dosnt perform very well.

Had an oil leak on the engine fixed this winter and have replaced the front wheel bearings a few times, rebuilt the blower, and replaced the hydro belt once, the mule drive belt a few times, and deck belt twice, catcher top a few times and all 3 bags once at least.

Feb 4, 2003 · Grasshopper filters are engineered to filter down to 5 micron, so any particle larger than 5 millionths of an inch is trapped. As long as you change the filter as recommended, the chance of "wet sanding" all the parts is slim. Anything below the 5 micron will polish the parts. Drives take a lot of abuse, and they will have issues.
