Jan 18, 2020 · I am having some trouble finding a tool to lock the flywheel to allow me to torque down the bolts. Could someone share what you do to accomplish this task. The engine is in the car and up in the air. I've looks around the web and not sure I have come across anything that right for the job.

Sep 11, 2019 · P4529636 is the Mopar Chysler Jeep Part Number for a package of ( 6 ) OEM type Flywheel Bolts that are discontinued but can still be found out there. Agree, the Flexplate bolts are shorter and a different part number and also a "non-standard" length.

Feb 25, 2014 · I got an OEM flywheel off Craig's List that I HOPE is for a 401. Obviously either the crankshaft flange or the flywheel is thinner than the one on my 360. It is installed on another Jeep so I can't measure it.

Dec 31, 2020 · The bolt for the un-threaded hole is a bolt with a nut and lock washer on the end of it. Note that these bolts have wider than normal shanks. If you can't scare up originals, you'll need to make bushings so the starter is in the proper place in relation to the flywheel.

Nov 21, 2010 · Once the engine is out, removing the transmission is easy. Remove the bell housing and remember to place all bolts back for reference. Prepare the engine for an engine stand and remove the Flywheel. Remember to mark the Flywheel position on the crank.

Jan 22, 2024 · My problem is when I tighten the clutch to the flywheel the fingers are engaging so much that the throw out bearing won’t touch them. I have adjusted the throw out rod all the way until the fork hits the bellhousing.
