I haven't used Thai fish sauce but I have used the Filipino and Chinese versions of it and it works well when you soak your cut bait in it overnight.

Cook this uncovered until the sauce reduces by half, about 10-15 minutes. Be sure to turn over the fish a couple times so both sides get coated by the sauce.

Diced up the tortillas add to pan. add all the other ingredients. mixed a bunch. then added a small amount of water mix well and set the burner on low to simmer the water off. Stuck it in a gladware container and put it in the fridge.

I have been wanting to try my hand at making my own bait so I dug out my throw net and caught enough 2" threadfin shad to fill up a quart size ziplock bag. I had already gathered cat tails a while back so I had them at home.

Dec 30, 2008 · So, I'm putting a copy here. Making catfish jerky is very similar to making venison or beef jerky, and you can even use the same marinade. I generally start out with soy sauce, but occasionally I'll use teriyaki sauce. I add chopped onion & garlic, some pepper, and whatever other spices sound good at the time.
