Oct 20, 2023 · Interestingly, even when Mac Studio would not permit a logon, toggling File Sharing on and off, Mac Studio appeared and disappeared from the Network locations list, keyboard and mouse sharing between the Mac Studio and MBPro worked, and dragging files between the two worked, suggesting a permission issue as opposed to a firmware issue.

Can access all other folders and all items in the folders on the via file sharing, but the desktop folder is problematic. Have tried specifically adding the desktop folder as a shared folder under file sharing and allowed read and write access to it.

Jun 2, 2022 · I'm trying to enable File Sharing through System Preferences -> Sharing but the checkbox next to the File Sharing service doesn't respond: clicking on it does nothing, it does not check it (and the service remains off). The same is true for Media Sharing, and Internet Sharing (whose checkboxes look slightly greyed out). See the attached screenshot.

Jan 26, 2018 · The mac can see the PC and connect to it, but from the PC side the mac is invisible. Notes: I have a windows 10 laptop connected to the same network as my office Mac. I have file sharing enabled on both devices and am able to see & connect to the laptop's shared folders/files from the mac without any trouble.
