WEBJul 3, 2021 · Change the screenshot folder. Put it somewhere else completely different. Make a folder in the root of the drive, say c:/screen/ ... look at it, confirm that it's not read only. Now, put that adress into ff14, tell it that's the screen shot folder. The folder INSTANTLY becomes read only, and locked that way.

WEBDec 27, 2020 · It seems that the issue is caused by Antivirus software. Avast, and possibly other Antivirus tools seem to block XIV from saving screenshots. Why it suddenly does this, I don' know. Theoretically, you should be able to whitelist the executable file, but It doesn't seem to change anything in my case.

WEBDec 23, 2014 · It immediately puts it right back on. -Disabling Google Drive and rebooting. -Running FFXIV as Admin. -Returning settings to Default. Screenshot folder path does not change. -Creating a new folder and using that instead. -Using an external storage device (USB stick). This worked!

Win key+ print screen will let me save a screenshot too. Does anyone know a fix of how to take make the "print screen" key on the keyboard to work when the game is on?
