The Ministry of Defense (Amharic: የመከላከያ ሚኒስቴር, romanized: yemekelakeya mīnīsitēri) is a cabinet-level office in charge of defense-related matters of Ethiopia. The current minister is Aisha Mohammed since 2024.

Aisha Mohammed Mussa (born 1979) is an Ethiopian engineer and politician who is currently serving as Minister of Defense since 20 May 2024 for second time in that position, the first time from October 2018 to April 2019.

Abraham Belay (Amharic: አብራሃም በላይ) is an Ethiopian politician serving as the Minister of Water, Irrigation and Electricity since 2024. [5] Belay served as the Minister of Defense from 2021.
