May 22, 2021 · Vertical tabs on PC are supposed to save you the vertical space in trade of horizontal, but you screen is horizontal so it's worthy trade. But on phone, your screen is vertical, so it doesn't really make sense to put you tabs vertically and take some of that space away.

I'm trying vertical tabs in Edge and a couple of other browsers. I'm still in the "getting used to it" period after using horizontal tabs forever. I do like that when I have a bunch of tabs open I can see the names. I do still go toward the top when I want to open a new tab, which is currently the thing I'm having to get used to the most.

Especially, if you use tab groups and with longer group names, vertical tabs present a lot more useful information. Now if only Edge implements tree hierarchy in the vertical tabs...

Mostly have to change how I perceive FF own tabs row in reverse, going from left to right, but you can get rid of this, I just like to use along with vertical tabs. PS: This seems to make some navigation easier, as you can go to last tab using keyboard shortcuts like ctrl+Number, as last tab becomes first after pinned tabs.

Oct 27, 2020 · William Devereux Vertical Tabs Feature is going to the one of the best one. I really like it but one thing is really annoying on this mode. When ever we use vertical tabs the webpage title is showing as a big Title bar in the top of the browser, which is a really space eater like in this image which one attached to this post. title bar is not good.
