I've even uninstalled and reinstalled the Edge browser, but none of these actions have resolved the issue. I've been experiencing this problem for the past three weeks. May 5, 2021 · After much search I have figured out a partial solution which has solved the restoration of my bookmarks and settings but did not restore the extensions. I closed Edge then copied the "default" folder from my backup and overwrote the "default" folder in c: Users\ xxxxxxx \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Edge \ UserData on my laptop.

Icons for active extensions are by default shown at the top of that menu, but there is no setting anywhere to place the Extensions icon on the toolbar in any channel.

Nov 16, 2022 · I want to prevent user profiles from being able to go to Settings > Extensions > Manage Extensions and then being able to disable individual extensions. I would also like to prevent extensions which are NOT shown in the Toolbar from being edited (what one sees under .Settings > Extensions > EXTENSION > Extension Options).

Mar 29, 2024 · Ever since the recent update, Edge keeps on turning off my extensions installed from the Chrome web store. I added those extensions in the ExtensionInstallForcelist directory on Windows registry for a reason. I allowed extensions from other stores and the browser turns off the ones that are from the Chrome store, which is ALLOWED by Edge.
