    Do uplift loads apply to Eccl caps?
    Uplift loads do not apply for ECCL caps. The column width in the direction of the main beam width must be the same as the main beam width (W 1). Specify the stirrup height from the top of the cap. The minimum side stirrup heights (H 2 or H 3) is 6 1/2" (3 1/2" for models ending in “44”).

    Column caps may be ordered without the column straps for field welding to a steel column, full loads apply for the beam and the post cap. Specify “No Straps” when ordering. Weld by designer. These models have no coating. The L dimension varies depending on the width of the side stirrup (W 3 or W 4).

    A: Good Morning Brett, Yes, the ECCL can be ordered in left and right hand versions. The ECCLL is a left and the ECCLR is a right. Then, the numerals will determine the nominally dimensioned sizes. The 888 will be for 7 1/4" to 7 1/2" beams on top of an 8x8 solid sawn post.
