Isaiah 29:6 – “The Lord Almighty will come with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with windstorm and tempest and flames of a devouring fire.” In Isaiah, earthquakes are part of a powerful description of God’s majestic and fearsome arrival.

Another significant earthquake is recorded in the book of Isaiah, where the prophet describes how the earth will shake at the coming of the Lord: “And the earth shall quake before him; the heavens shall tremble: the earth shall be shaken out of her place at the wrath of the Lord of hosts, in the day of his fierce anger” (Isaiah 13:13).
