  1. Introduction The Empathy Quotient (EQ) is an assessment tool created to measure empathy levels in adults. Developed by Simon Baron-Cohen and his team at the Autism Research Centre at the University of Cambridge, the EQ consists of a questionnaire with two versions: one containing 60 items (presented below) and a shorter form with 40 items.
